The gang leave the damaged RV behind, and approach the shielded city on foot (and hoverboard), to attract less attention.


The complex appears made of portable building modules- advanced, but weathered by age and exposure to the elements.  The force shield extends all the way around.  Inside, several teens and elders go about their routines.


Ellie phases through the shield, leaving her somewhat disoriented and drained.


Outside, the crew have drawn the attention of a massive Metalsaur!  It moves in quickly for the kill...


...but as it nears Chet, it stops, and regards him curiously, perhaps sensing the metal ID tag Chet salvaged from the dead scientist earlier.


Taking advantage of the hesitation, DW-40 desperately grapples and jacks into the Metalsaur, taking control of it while Chet warps behind the shield.


As one of the kids in the compound walks by, Ellie manifests like a hologram out of a console and begs him to lower the Shield.


With the shield down, DW-40 and the neurolinked Metalsaur move inside the compound.



Jambo and Bragg move in, and are greeted by adults claiming to be their younger sister and cousin!?


Elsewhere, several Saurans sneak into the compound while the shields are down...


An elderly scientist comes out and reactivates the shields, unaware of the intruders.


The Scientist, Elanor Floyd, reveals she is the daughter of Dr. Dwight D. Floyd, who disappeared years ago.   Could it have been the same Dr. Floyd that Chet and Ellie worked for, in L.N. Spur?  

Elanor was just a kid in Beren Gulls when her dad disappeared.   She took up her father's work to try to find him, but instead found a new home for her people here in Melinzerg...
