ELVENSPRING
As the team is torn through dimensional space, Eloise is the first to land... inside some kind of Cafe?
Outside the cafe, this dimension's Eloise- "Shelly"- peers in through the window at the commotion.
A crack of
thunder above the charming, flooded town of Elvenspring, and DW-40 and
Chet plummet from the skies, crashing through bridges and plunging into
cold water.
TALOS appears next, crashing through the roof of some kind of repair shop.
Chet drifts slowly in circles as he haplessly tries to steer his suit on the water.
Just as the town is recovering from the arrival of these strangers, a gang of Road Hogs rumbles into town, attacking bystanders, blaring rock music, and wreaking havoc!
Chet morphs a new mutation- wings!- and exits his suit, taking vantage to try to help the town.
A Road Hog jumps across the washout and deeper into town.
DW-40 positions himself in front of the ramp, and the next Road Hog slams into his massive frame!
DW-40 tosses the biker below, where a town robot shoves him into the water.
To counter the Road Hogs audio assault, Shelley leads a local band in a stirring cover of "War Pigs". Eloise joins in their musical protest, galvanizing the townsfolk into action.
TALOS shakes the ground under a Road Hog, plunging them both into the water!
The Road Hogs
retreat, but not before setting fire to one of the buildings and
delivering an ultimatum: "Bring all your technology to us or we'll cut
off your power- and continue the raids!"
Chet surprises himself with his healing skills, helping folks injured during the raid.
The Crew fix
up the town and trade for much needed supplies. They agree to
confront the Road Hogs. Their plan? Present DW-40 as an
"offering of tech".
But how will they get all the way out to the wind turbine where the Road Hogs are holed up?
A rabbit folk named Sarah is the only one in a town of water to still own a car.
Always up for an adventure, she offers to give the strangers a ride, and helps jury rig DW-40 with tracks, and Talos with a set of wheels. "Finally, someone NORMAL in our crew", Chet observes.
As the crew approach the enemy outpost, Ellie sees Road Hogs siphoning off power from the turbine into... what could only be the S.L.A.P.R.! Apparently when warping out of the Scavlands, the machine must have crashed out here. The Road Hogs are trying to turn it on, but don't fully know what it actually does...
Sarah and
Chet approach the Road Hogs and offer a "power converter unit" to them,
as DW-40 rolls forward and falls over like a hunk of machinery. "This is serious, no funny business!" The Road Hog shouts to the jester-like Sarah.
While the Road Hogs are distracted, Talos charges down the ramp, crashing into one of their vehicles!
Meanwhile, DW-40 has a plan to make the Road Hog problem "go away", and sneaks over to the power cable to ensure the S.L.A.P.R. is actually hooked up correctly...
To keep the Road Hogs off balance, Ellie performs a psychic scream that stuns everyone nearby!
The SLAPR kicks into action, and rippling energy engulfs friend and foe alike.
Although no one is sure where they end up, Sarah decides to come along, and launches her monster car into the mayhem, vanishing from sight.
At least the town will be safe from further raids...
