GALACTIC HEROES- THE GAME!
Do you collect those cute little Star Wars Galactic Heroes figures?
Or do you have kids that do? Well, dust them off, grab some dice,
and prepare to have a blast with these simple
rules for Tabletop Gaming Mayhem!
FOLLOW TD242 IN FURTHER ADVENTURES WITH GARRISON TITAN
NORWESCON, 2008
Managed one day of charity photo shoots at this cool
local con. Reminds me of the heyday of BayCon back in California...
EMERALD CITY COMICON, 2007
We did a charity photo shoot and met a pretty cool
General Grievous.
TOY DRIVE- DECEMBER, 2006
This event was a blast, even though toy drives are aon
the decline.
COMIC BOOK CAFE - OCTOBER 28,
2006
After transferring from Star Garrison, this was my first
foray with Garrison Titan, and a good turnout at that!
Thanks to Mike, Mike, Paul, Marc, Wyatt, Brian, and everyone else
(Jedi too!) for making it an enjoyable and impressive turnout.
It was refreshing to troop with other DTs...
And my boys enjoyed hanging out with some of
their favorite characters.
A tidy store and pleasant owner too, with plenty of hard to find action
figures on the shelves.
48 HOURS OF THE FORCE- APRIL
02,2005
With Episode III fast approaching, select Wal-Marts had a whole tent
full o' Star Wars stuff in front of their store. Several of the Star
Garrison members were able to attend the one in Grapevine, TX and get the
crowds excited! Many a picture was snapped as fans of all ages were
caught off guard by our presence...

Stop him! He's got an exclusive Deluxe Vader

X-WING APPEARANCE- 2004
My first gig since moving to the Lone Star State was a dramatic attempt
at revitalizing a mall in Fort Worth- a "full" size
X-Wing! Kids could even rent pilot costumes and get their picture
taken. I of course had to plead with the Mrs. to get a bib sewn together
so I could wear proper attire... There were mobs of folks there from
the Star Garrison and the Rebel Legion, including a fully functional Remote
Control R2D2!
EPISODE OF "SCREEN SAVERS"- MAY
15, 2002
In anticipation of the midnight showing of Episode II, TECH
TV's show, The Screen Savers featured a number of local
costumers and droid builders!
They have some nice sets! (okay, I added
the RA7 droid).
Sean and Mitch dress casual

Eric)

A much earned rest for Chewie- and the cameraman?
The cast!
When I get a better picture I'll try to identify everyone in
this shot...
EPISODE II CHARITY PREVIEW- MAY
12, 2002
Lucas released a sneak preview of Episode II in 11 different cities,
with a ticket price of $500 to raise money for different charities.
Lucas himself attended the San Francisco screening at the Galaxy theatre,
to benefit the California
Mentor Foundation. A few lucky members of our garrison were selected
to attend in costume and dress up the event (and the party afterwards!).
LINING UP FOR THE FLANNELED ONE
(Dave/Jango, Mitch/DT, Sean/DT, Stacy/Jedi, Eric/3PO, Mat's R2)
We had a whole hallway to change in....
We finished 3PO the night before- or was it
the morning of?
There are two R2s?

Dave put his Jango together just in time for

Party attendees could watch R2 dance!

MIDNIGHT MADNESS- APRIL 2002
Toys R Us opened at midnight to sell the new Star Wars toys to about
70 die-hard fans. The store director was pretty flaky, but Dave Jackson
threw a party anyway, and 3 (Chris, Mitch, Sean) of us showed up for the
fun! Unfortunately, looks like Dave's site is down, so I'll see if
I have any pics I can post later...
Speaking of toys, if you love those adorable Galactic Heroes figures, check out the original toys from Playskool
STAR WARS TRILOGY AT SPANGENBURG
THEATRE- APRIL 2002
Members of the NCA and CCA Stormtrooper garrisons attended this event
in a variety of costumes. Aside from terrorizing the band competition
that preceded the screening and entertaining the patrons, we also got to
see the films on the big screen! Thanks to Chris Cates for bonus
pictures.

movie goers
The Black and White Ball gets out of hand...
Sean and Eric intimidate the band competition
Imperial forces from both garrisons... combine

Chris joins the forces of evil-- purely to promote
the films, mind you!
Yes, even Artoo made an appearance... with
some "persuading" that is.
Later that evening, rebel pilots attended the
trilogy of briefings
A closeup of TD242 (it's all about ME- on my site,
anyway).
LUCASARTS EPISODE OF ELECTRIC
PLAYGROUND- AUGUST 2001
Mat, Eric and I (and our costumes) participated in the filming of an
episode of Electric Playground (on
Discovery Science channel) that covers the latest LucasArts games coming
out. (We're in Season 7, Episode 5).
THIS IS GOLD LEADER,
WE'RE GOING IN!
Okay, this shot does not appear in the episode, but I couldn't help
myself! Yes, that's me in LucasArt's mockup X-wing cockpit, with
some stars photoshoped in. Whee!
Eric in the Cockpit (With green screen

Another shot of Eric (I'm sure he'll
photoshop up something nice with these pics!)
A shot of Mat in the cockpit (also with green

Earlier events featuring my upgraded Desert Trooper included 2 different
birthday parties- the kids were speechless, except for my son, who now
points to pictures of stormtroopers and says, "Daddy!"

We dressed up in costume for Halloween this year, but didn't go trick
or treating- instead, we boarded a retired aircraft carrier for some cool
Stormtrooper shots! Mat Clayson, Eric Moody, and Sean Patten are
the three stormtroopers in the various photos. Thanks to Tracy Newby
for easy access to the USS Hornet, and to Kathie Patten for the photos.

Mat, Tracy, Mike and Eric of Hi-Impact. We just finished these costumes
hours before doing a photo shoot near Tahoe.

you try to run in the snow with armor on...
A Back View of my General Veers Costume
General Veers has always been a favorite character of mine.
My Stormtrooper Armor- Comicon 97
My Stormtrooper all shiny, thanks to Robin's amazing buffing machine!
Once we finished constructing the molds, I was the first Hi-Impact member
to assemble a Stormtrooper. But, as Hi-Impact Founder Mat Clayson says,
"never go first".

Black Sheep Squadron appear in a hilarious video parody of Cops
titled "TROOPS"- check it out at http://theforce.net/troops/
Imperial forces gather at the Star Wars party-

Another charming picture from the Star Wars Party. Natalie Greco wearing
her Leia costume, and Kevin Toth in his Vader costume (armor by Max Cervantes).

Sean Lujan's Dengar is another fine product of Hi-Impact, of course.
Imperial Forces gather at the Star Wars S.E.
Opening in Hollywood
A similar photo of this momentous occasion appears in Star Wars Insider
Issue #33 on page 10. Some (but not all) of the Imperial uniforms are products
of Kathy Pillsbury. The Tie Pilots and Stormtroopers are Hi-Impact products,
of course. Our X-wing pilots appear on page 8 of the same issue!
Fyberdyne's Biker Scout costumes- Worldcon 96
These fiberglass costumes are really nice- one of the best Fyberdyne
products to date, in my opinion.
Fyberdyne's Assault Trooper costumes- Worldcon
96
These costumes were based on a concept drawing and do not appear in
the Star Wars films. Just look at them all! Two Hi-Impact Tie Pilots (myself
and Mat) joined the parade as well (Worldcon was the first appearance of
these costumes).
One of Games Workshop's Full Scale Space Marine Models
I was impressed by these models (not to mention my preoccupation with 40K). Actual suits of Mark 7 and Terminator armor were also built on behalf of the Black Library, and appear in the Games Day videos.
